From quiet breaks away in The Sanctuary to our famous Boot Camp fun weekends; from romantic Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions to high level business conferences; and from family celebrations to holidays away, this is a venue for everyone – whatever you have in mind.
Founded in 1954, An Grianán is run by the Irish Countrywomen’s Association as a centre for learning, personal development and recreation. Through debate, demonstrations, lectures and practical instruction, we provide educational enrichment in an atmosphere which is conducive to friendly dialogue and social interaction, fostering a love of traditional art and crafts such as Crochet, Carrickmacross and Limerick Lace, Embroidery, Jewellery, Lumra, Macrame, Rushwork and many more.
Both residential guests and day visitors can make the most of An Grianán’s beautiful surroundings, exploring the beach, indulging in a round of golf or a game of tennis or simply taking a walk in the stunning grounds. And when evening comes, you can enjoy meals prepared with local ingredients and adjourn afterwards to our residents’ bar enjoying live entertainment.
For conferences and events we have a large hall that accommodates 150 seated guests with a stage area for speakers. We also have a bar and plenty of breakout rooms.
